Pets

Wow it's been a while since I posted. It's been a very busy summer. I have wanted to get some albums done but haven't had much time. These are layouts of our dog Barkley and my mom's dog Gretta.

Paper is from Cloud 9 Designs and it sparkles.

Another page from the baby book

Basic Grey Two Scoops again. Prima flowers and generic ribbon. Precious is covered chipboard from Base Camp and is not glued down yet. Little One comes from New Arrival. Edges of torn paper are chalked.

Baby pages for a book for my tennis coach

this is a double page layout using Basic Grey Two Scoops Collection. corners were made with a Martha Stewart punch. Looks a little washed out. I like it much better in person.

St. Stephens

St. Stephens Cathedral

St Stephens Cathedral in Passau, Germany was originally built in 1225 then destroyed by fire in 1662 and rebuilt in 1688. It is a barroque building which houses the largest organ outside the United States. It has 17,774 pipes and 223 registers. The photo on the upper right on the date page shows the organ. I could have stayed here taking photos forever. Such a beautiful church. Paper used is Basic Grey Ambrosia and Bazzill. Cartridges used are Blackletter and Indie Art. Embellishment is Ambrosia Chipboard.

Passau

The pictures don't do the view justice but turned out beautiful. I had a hard time deciding on the right paper to make the pictures pop. I ended up with Basic Grey Wassail again. Letters were cut 4 times from Bazzil with Storybook and adhered together to form a chipboard. Large flower is Bazzill and the smaller poinsettias are Prima. Now to convince DH to take me back here in the spring or summer.

I love the old

The Stone Bridge, Steinerne Brucke is located in Regensburg. It dates back to somewhere between 1135 and 1146. That's pretty old. Paper is Basic Grey. Font is Blackletter. Tag cut from Tags cart. Snoflakes are from Christmas Solutions.

Nuremburg Hauptplatz

The next few days I am planning on continuing to post the rest of the Christmas Market Album. This one uses Bo Bunny Paper and the snowflakes were cut from AE and JOTS. The larger snowflakes were adhered with pop dots. Letters are from Storybook.

Christmas Markets along the Danube

It's been almost a month since I have posted anything. I was first busy getting ready for a swarm (crop) here in Columbus and then went to Florida to visit my family and lately a health crisis that I think is under control. Anyway I completed an entire album at the swarm of my Christmas Market trip to Germany. It's was fun reliving the trip but very sad to let it go. This layout was from our starting point in Nuremburg Germany. The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle and the flowers are Prima. The cricut font used was Storybook, shadowed and Accent frame used.

Love 2 Surf

This was my last Hawaii layout. It is so sad to put the whole trip behind me. I just loved working with the beautiful pictures. All of God's wonderful creations. I guess it's time to go back. The PP used was from Reminisce and Bazzill, of course. Font used is Cuttin' Up. Surfboard came from Graphically Speaking and was cut at 2 3/4 inches. The Hang 10 was design using CDS. TFL

Wikiki in Calligraphy font

I absolutely had to use the new Calligraphy cart I got for Christmas. I haven't had occassion to use it yet. I cut Waikiki at 2 1/2 inches and shadowed it with a coordinating Bazzill green. Just this little bit of green made the colors in the photos pop. So I added a little more green. The swishes were cut at 2 1/2 inches and was too big so I place it under the photo and cut another at 1 1/4 for the title. Journaling frame cut at 3 1/2 inches. I used the Basic Grey PP Euphoria and it is really PP, rather subtle too. Prima flowers and sparkles added.

Another Hawaii layout

Hanauma Bay was cut with Alphalicious. One of my favorite carts. Paper is Creative Imaginations and 3D elements are K and Company. I love this paper it really complements the photos nicely. Sure wish I was there and not here right now.

Pearl Harbor in Basic Grey

In both layouts, the Granola Basic Grey paper, chip elements and coordinating buttons are used. Cricut font was Base Camp for the Pearl Harbor title and Plantin School book for the other. I used the navy motto here because it so depicts what these men exhibited during the attack. May we never forget what they and countless others have sacrificed for our freedoms. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

More playing with Sports Mania.

I have been saving these football pictures for years. I am excited to finally get them done. I cut the football frame using Prism paper that's football textured and adding a cutout square from George in CDS to create a frame. Football is life was cut out at 3 inches from red Bazzill paper and chalked to the hilt to make it blend in. PP is from Bo Bunny.

Football

I just love the Sports Mania cartridge. My only wish is that there were more. Paper used is bazzill and one sheet of Reminisce. The swoosh arrow come from Graphically speaking cut at 7 inches. Football was cut from textured football paper and stitched with white floss. Everything was chalked with Cat's Eye ink.

On the Blocks

I created on the blocks with CDS for this page. I added a digital item on one of the photos. And I also had fun using the Basic Grey templates and sewing supplies.

Flip Flop Album

we are under a level 2 snow emergency. It started with snow last night then turned to ice during the nice and now is snowing very hard. Since it is such a cold wintry day, I am putting up a Flip Flop Album I did last summer for my parents who live on a lake. We have such fun there in the summer time, that I wanted to capture that fun in an album.

Boys Rule

I had such fun creating this layout. Challenging myself again to do something I have never done, I got out the paint. Had fun streaking all over the paper here and there. The paper is When the Weather is Fine by Black Market Society. Ohh, I love this paper. The we are #1 is covered chipboard and then chalked. There is hidden journaling on tags accessed by the ribbons. Cricut carts used: Alphalicious, Locker Talk, Graphically Speaking,  and Tags. I also used CDS to isolate the #1.

Vintage Golf Layout

I love Basic Grey. I love everything about it. It was perfect for this golf layout. The colors complemented the pictures perfectly. Only thing missing was to make it golf. Enter Wordle.com. The only thing necessary was entering golf terms. Then choosing a layout you like and colors that complement your paper.

Monochromatic Layout

This was also done at the Indy Swarm as a challenge. I had never done a monochromatic layout either so I rose to the challenge. All supplies were purchased at Archivers.

Scrapmania Layout

This was done at the Indy Swarm on 10/16/08 as a challenge and since I had never done scrapmania before, had to give it a go. It was fun and the paper (We Are Memory Keepers) was perfect for the layout.  All supplies were purchased at Archivers.

Layouts done in November 2007

I was asked to create a couple layouts for a local scrapbook store. I was given Bo Bunny paper and some CI snowflake paper. This is what I came up with.

20 January 2009

After thinking about doing this blog for a year now, I finally got around to doing it. I hope you enjoy my happy place.
